Barry Stapleton

December 27, 1961 — January 13, 2024

Barry Stapleton, 62 of Ephrata, passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday, January 13, 2024. Born in Reading, Barry grew up in the Mt Penn area, son of the late Elwood Stapleton and Dianne (Cerniglia) Millisock.

Barry spent most of his life working in the foundry industry and was employed at Donsco Inc. in Mount Joy for several years. He had an incredible work ethic and was always dedicated to his job, often picking up overtime. He was skilled and passionate about his work and took great pride in his contributions. He enjoyed spending his free time camping and fishing. For many years, he had a campsite at Knoebels and loved camping in Gettysburg and Cape Henlopen, DE. Barry was a racing enthusiast and had a special interest in NASCAR and Sprint Car racing. He was the biggest fan of his grandson, who runs micro sprints, and would eagerly look forward to Saturdays to cheer him on. Barry was easygoing, he enjoyed time with his family and the simple pleasures of life. Barry had a unique hobby of collecting quarters and was meticulous about keeping his stacks organized in print style. He was a Ford-man, loved all things Ford, particularly his own F250. Barry’s presence, influence, and love will be deeply missed.

Barry is survived by longtime companion of over 30 years, Carol L. Moyer; son, Kyle (Tanya) Stapleton of Reamstown; step-children, Mark Moyer of Fayetteville, Mike Moyer (Rikki) of Huntingdon, & Kelly Wenrich of Ephrata; grandchildren, Kaylie, Mckenzie, Masen; nine step grandchildren, Ally, Desiree, Kayleigh, Brianne, Danielle, Paige, Cortney, Jolie, & Lincoln; six step great grandchildren; brother, Randy Stapleton of Ephrata, and sister, Donna Shaner of Reading.
