C. Earl Deibler

C. Earl Deibler, age 98, of Stevens, Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, PA, died November 13, 2012, in Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, PA. Born in Ephrata Township, a son of the late John F. and Florence S. (Sweigart) Deibler, his wife, Ruth (Slabach) Deibler, died September 29, 2002. A 1933 Ephrata High School graduate, Earl was a plasterer, Harvester service technician and last worked for Fleet-Air Corporation, Ephrata. A former member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reamstown, he belonged to Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, Denver. Earl served as school director many years with Brecknock Township, and loved woodworking, fishing, hunting, boating, riding snow mobile and buying/selling scrap metal. Surviving are his daughters, F. Marie (Glenn L.) Eidemilller, Ephrata; and H. Elaine (Peter) Caruso, Greenacres, WA; his son, Philip L. (Donna M. Ansel) Deibler, Stevens; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A brother, J. Martin Deibler, also predeceased him. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 10:00 am from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Reamstown, with The Rev. Joseph A. Veres officiating. Burial in Salem Union Cemetery, Reamstown, PA. The viewing will be Friday evening 6:00 to 8:00 pm and immediately prior to the service on Saturday. Rather than flowers, Earl would have preferred that you perform a kind deed for someone or give to Water Street Rescue Mission, 210 South Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603.
