Earl R. Gerhart

Earl R. Gerhart, age 82, of East Cocalico Township, Stevens, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania,passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at 5:58 PM in Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Stouchsburg, Berks County, a son of the late Earl Agnes (Shimp) Gerhart, he was married to Carole L. (Lied) Gerhart for 48 years on July 26th. Earl was a graduate of Denver High School and was a peacetime army veteran. He worked 43 years for Warner-Lambert, then Pfizer, Lititz. Earl belonged to St. Paul's Evangelical Congregational Church, where he was an usher and member of the kitchen committee. He enjoyed flea markets and was a toy train enthusiast. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at 11 AM from St. Paul's E. C. Church, 46 E. Church St., Reamstown, PA, with The Rev. Kirk R. Marks officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Denver. Rather than flowers, remember Earl with contributions sent to the church memorial fund at P. O.
