Eric R. Staaby

Eric R. Staaby, age 60, of Reinholds, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died of natural causes Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 11:08 pm in Womelsdorf at the home of his father. Born in Brooklyn, NY, a son of The Rev. Lars B. Staaby, Womelsdorf, and the late Helen L. (Brem) Staaby, his wife, Kathleen Sue (Keller) Staaby, died December 11, 1983. Eric graduate in 1971 from Conrad Weiser High School and attended Penn State, main campus, for structural engineering. He was a draftsman with Miles C. Weber, Lebanon. Loving the outdoors, he enjoyed camping, hiking and time with friends. Also surviving is his daughter, Alice L. Staaby, married to Colin Plappert, Columbus, OH; and brothers, David L., married to Susan (Webber) Staaby, Womelsdorf; and Lars B. Staaby, Jr., Enola. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 11 AM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Reamstown, with The Rev. June E. Bair officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Annex, Denver. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM. The casket will be closed.
