It is with great sadness the family announces, James J Turco, 82, of Reading, passed away at home on Thursday July 12, 2024, surrounded by his wife and children. He was the husband of and survived by Evelyn “Renee” Turco, and for 50 years created their life together, while raising six daughters.

Born on June 11, 1942, in Queens, New York, Jim shared a close connection with his wife, Renee whose birthday was June 13. The only thing that came between them was death on the 12th. Later, he served as the Managing Landscape Architect for Pelican Cove in Sarasota, FL, before returning to Pennsylvania. After retirement, he worked at Lancaster Country Day School. A respected community member, Jim was a past President of Lancaster's Park City Sertoma (1970-1974).

James was a phenomenal jack-of-all-trades, artist, craftsmen, car enthusiast and dedicated family man. He is survived by his six daughters, Heidi Kelley, wife to Christopher, Kim Moore, wife to Nevin, Yvette Turco, Lisa Donmoyer, wife to Darrin, Michele Marcolina, Noelle Turco partner to Sam Wilsker and as well as twenty-seven grandchildren.
