Juanita K. Bleecher

Juanita K. (Althouse) Bleecher, age 65, of Mt. Joy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 5:45 pm inHershey Medical Center, Derry Township, Dauphin County, PA. Born in Ephrata, Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Howard A. and Lucy J. (Messner) Althouse, she was a member of Mt. Joy Mennonite Church. Juanita worked at Cinderella Knitting Mill, Floral Creations and Landisville Bakery. She shared her creative talents through baking, floral arranging and as a seamstress. A friend to all, she loved her church family and cherished her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters, Pamela S. Knapp, Burnt Cabins, PA; Tamela S., wife of JoeThome, Elizabethtown, PA; Sherry L., married to Erich Broome, Columbia, PA; her son, Richard C. Newcomer, Jr., Stevens, PA; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Priscilla A. Bender, Lititz; Peggy L. Althouse, Denver. A twin sister, Kay J. Althouse, predeceased her. A viewing will be held Thursday, May 5, from 6-8 PM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Reamstown. The memorial service will be Saturday, May 7, at 10:30 AM from Mt. Joy Mennonite Church, 320 Musser Rd., Mt. Joy, PA 17552. There will be no viewing at the church.
