Judy A. (Claybaugh) Conley, 80, of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024, at the WellSpan Community Hospital in Ephrata. Born in Perry County, Judy was the daughter of the late Charles W. & Arlene L. (Freet) Claybaugh. She was also the loving wife to James “Jim” E. Conley for 57 years until his passing in 2021.
Judy was a graduate of Susquenita High School. She was a loving mother and grandmother, constantly devoting her time to supervising, loving, and crafting for her family. Judy was well known for her love of gardening, whether it was vegetables or flowers; she put so much love into everything she grew. While Jim focused on his hunting and fishing, Judy took in nature and admired all the sights that surrounded her. Whether it was in her avid reading habits or her interest in family genealogy, Judy was always learning new things. She took special joy in her trips to Longwood Gardens and her beautiful depression glass collection. Judy’s giving and kind heart will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Judy is survived by two daughters: Jane Conley Wolf and Joy Susan Conley, both of Ephrata, PA; one son, James E. Conley, Jr., husband of Tracy, of East Earl, PA; three grandchildren: Bethany Conley of Lebanon, PA, James E. Conley III of Ephrata, PA, and Jace Conley of Ephrata, PA; three great-grandchildren: Bentley, Caidence, and Ryder Goshert of Lebanon, PA; and relatives of Perry County.
Services will be private at the discretion of the family. Arrangements were made by Gravenor Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., in Ephrata.
