Karen Fay Winter, 69, of Reinholds passed away Monday, April 1st, 2024, in her home. Born in Ephrata, Karen was a daughter of the late Harold and Bertha (Beck) Cassler. She was the loving mother to Mandy Stewart of Reinholds and Andrea Komaromi of Barrackville, West Virginia.
Growing up in Reamstown, Karen spent a lot of time surrounded by her loving family. At the early age of 15, Karen began her long-term career as a seamstress for Keystone Nitewear in Reinholds until retiring in her mid-40s. Karen radiated with warmth and motherliness as she was known for bringing in friends and family, treating them with love and guidance. She enjoyed outings with her sisters, often seeing shows of an Elvis impersonator. Karen volunteered with the Middle Creek Search and Rescue team and was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Her welcoming heart will be missed by her friends and family.
Along with her daughters, Karen is survived by two sisters, Kathy (Fisher) Marshall, wife of William Marshall of Reinholds & June (Fisher) Kohl, wife of Jeffery Kohl of Denver; step-daughter, Jessica Winter; ten grandchildren, Keegan & Paige Stewart, Carter Kerns of Reinholds, Katie & Kayden Komaromi of Barrackville, WV, Aidin, Zoey & Mckenzie Anderson, Landyn & Masyn Rivers; and many loved nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life event will take place on Saturday, May 18th at Baum Farms, 970 Creek Road, Leola, PA starting at 3:00 p.m.
