Remembering Marian with Love... Marian Y. Firestone, 79, of 1998 Bowmansville Road, Adamstown, Lancaster County, died Sunday afternoon at 3:30 PM in Reading Hospital Medical Center, West Reading, where she was a patient since December 24th. Born in Adamstown, she was a daughter of the late Lemon E. and Mabel L. (Mosser) Youndt, and was the wife of Kay O. Firestone for 48 years on January 1, 2003. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, where she was a former choir member. A 1942 graduate of the former Shillington High School, she also graduated from the former McCann's School of Business, Reading, and completed Airline Stewardess School in Minneapolis. Her employment included the former American Safety Table Company, Mohnton; former Woolworth's Mid-Atlantic Distribution Center, Denver, PA; former John Wanamaker's of Berkshire Mall, Wyomissing, PA; Akron Restaurant Gift Shop, Akron, PA; and Donecker's, Ephrata, PA. Mrs. Firestone was also a partner in her husband's former butcher business working at the Leesport, Womelsdorf and Bethel Farmer's Markets for 15 years until 1972. She enjoyed traveling and shopping. Surviving in addition to her husband, is a daughter, Kathy Louise Firestone, Adamstown; a son, Michael K., married to Kimberly (Grube) Firestone, Denver, PA; and a grandson, Chanse. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth M. Youndt and her twin sister, Mildred Fry. Viewing Service A viewing will be held from our funeral home on Thurday evening, January 1, 2004, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. The ceremony celebrating Marian's life will be held at our parlor on Friday morning, January 2, 2004, at 10:00 AM with her pastor, The Reverend William E. Hoch, officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown, Lancaster County, PA. Contributions...
