Marjorie Turney Chenet ...A Time to Remember Marjorie T. Chenet, 84, of 64 Muddy Creek Church Road, Denver, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, formerly of New Jersey, died Saturday evening at 10:20 PM in Maple Farms Nursing Center, Akron, PA, where she resided since August 2nd. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Walter B. and Helen (Fiske) Turney. Her husband, Paul J. Chenet, died in 1980. Mrs. Chenet was a past recording secretary for the Somerset Republican Party, Somerset, NJ, and was active in the The Meadows Historical Society also of Somerset, NJ. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. She is survived by a son, Paul J. Chenet, Jr., Hamilton, NJ; a daughter, Kathleen C., married to Michael A. Fink, Reinholds, PA; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-granchildren. A sister, Julia Larson, preceded her in death. Memorial Services... Marjorie's memorial ceremony will be held SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2001, at 2:00 PM, from Swamp Evangelical Lutheran Church, 275 Swamp Church Road, Reinholds, PA, with The Rev. Dennis L. Trout officiating. There will be no viewing. The family requests that flowers not be sent, however, you may remember her with contributions to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603. Mrs. Chenet's cremains will be interred with privately by the family in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, New Jersey.
