Martha K. Oswald

Martha K. Oswald, 100 years of age, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Fairmount Homes after a

brief illness.

Martha was born January 14, 1924, in Streetsboro Ohio to the late Eugene and Esther (Miller) Yoder.

She was married on June 12, 1948, to Marcus Oswald who passed away November 24,2001. Surviving

are 5 children, Roger (Laura) of Williamsburg, Rick (Brenda) of Berryville, AR, Steve (Dawn deceased June

2020) Ephrata, Tom (Janet) of Altoona and Julie (Jerry) Narvon. Ten grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Angie Bretzlaff of Illinois and her sister, Mary Hertzler of Scottdale PA.

Martha enjoyed making cards and blessed so many people over the years with her homemade cards.

She volunteered for many years at Worlds Attic, Somerset PA. After moving from Blair County to

Lancaster County she volunteered at the Re-Uzit Shop in Morgantown for several years.

Martha loved to read her bible and was a faithful prayer warrior. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working puzzles and always had a welcoming smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, and friend, always thinking of others first.

A viewing will be held on Wed., May 8th from 10 to 11 a.m. at Fairmount Homes, Farm Crest Chapel, 1100 Farm Crest Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522, and the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. A graveside service and interment will follow on Sat., May 11th at 11 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg, Pa.
