EMAIL RECEIVED... 4/16/2011 Jim Hassinger wrote: Mike Mohler was my roommate at Mont Alto. We lived in a converted garage off campus with two other students. It was the best of accommodations. Mike and I had a room all to ourselves. We were kindred spirits and later in life Mike was my best man when I married Brenda. At school Mike managed the impossible and had a food budget of only a dollar a day. After college we remained in contact and had many good times together. When we graduation we rented a pontoon boat at Raystown Lake and on another occasion we rode bikes from Hagerstown to Fort Ritchie at the top of a lofty mountain ridge. One time we went to North American Rod and Gun Club and shot my .223 Ruger offhand at 25 yards. We both shot good that day. When both our parents were alive we had several family picnics together at the Hagerstown park and at Mike's family home in the country. Mike and Mary dropped in on their way home from a cast bullet shoot in West Virginia shortly before he was diagnosed with cancer. We said our goodbyes never expecting it would be the last time we would meet in this life. Mike was on the prayer list at church and my memories of him remain within in my heart. My condolences go out to Mary, Tim and the rest of the family.
