Remembering Paul with Love... Paul E. Hassler, Sr., 71, of 471 Hill Road , Denver , died Thursday, May 24, 2007, at 7:45 PM in Ephrata Community Hospital where he was a patient for 6 days. Born in Reading , a son of the late Leroy and Pauline (Raudenbush) Hassler, his wife Naomi A. (Becker) Hassler, died January 28, 2007. An active member, former elder and usher of Allegheny United Church of Christ, Alleghenyville, he was employed by Conrail - Reading Railroad Division before retiring. Paul loved his wife and family, driving his jeep and mowing the grass on his tractor. Surviving is a daughter, Sandra Kay, wife of Gregory Martin, Denver , PA ; a son, Paul E., Jr., husband of Shelly (Burkman) Hassler, Denver, PA; 2 grandsons, Thomas and Daniel Hassler; and 3 sisters, Thelma Moyer, Vista, CA; Shirley Hillegas, and Miriam, wife of Richard Seifrit, both of Reading, PA. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Noon in Allegheny United Church of Christ, 1219 Kurtz Mill Road, Mohnton, PA 19540, with his pastor, The Reverend Ruth Ann Seibert, officiating. Burial in Allegheny Union Cemetery . A viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
