Richard J. Morrisey, age 86, of Shillington, Cumru Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, formerly of Denver, Lancaster County, PA, and Baldwin, Long Island, NY, died at home on Friday, February 10, 2017, at 9:32 PM. Born in Lackawanna, Erie County, New York, a son of the late Leo and Frances D. (McCosh) Morrisey,he was married46 years toJoan M. (Neubert) Morrisey, who died April 25, 2010. Richard was of the Catholic Faith andserved in the Army during theKorean War. He had owned and operated a hardware store in New York and last worked at Boscov's West. A proud Irishman, he collected beer steins toy firetrucks and enjoyed casino trips. Surviving: Godson, Richard J., married to Iveth S. (Oviedo) Schlamowitz, Shillington; and grand-Godchildren, Richard Jr. Samantha. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, at 8 PM from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with Chaplain Bradley Haws officiating. The viewing will be from 7 to 8 PM. Committal services with military honors will be Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at 11 AM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
