Stephen M. Dunmire

Stephen M. Dunmire, age 54, of Ephrata Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 17, 2016, at Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsyvlania, a son of the late Kenneth C. and Golda D. (Claar) Dunmire, he was a 1979 Hollidaysburg High School graduate and received his associates degree with honors from Elmira Business Institute, Elmira, NY. He was a Jr. Accountant with Goodhart Sons, Leola, PA. Stephen was a member of Olive Leaf Bible Church, Sinking Spring, Reservoir Bible Church, Hollidaysburg and attended St. John's Reformed Church, Sinking Spring. An avid sports fan, specifically Pittsburgh Teams, Penn State The Hollidaysburg "Golden Tigers"; he enjoyed camping, Myrtle Beach trips, and family times, especially with his nieces nephews. He was the proud 'father' of his miniature schnauzers, Ellie, Annie, Gracie, and the late Abby Ally. Surviving is his life partner, Steven M. Bowman, at home; sisters, Sylvia Adams, Columbia, SC; Shirley Martz, Cresson; Sara Helsel, Duncansville; Dorothy Kauruter Elgin, SC; Diane Eyer, Altoona; and brothers, Richard Dunmire, Manheim; Timothy Dunmire, Lititz. Brothers, Gary, Paul Wayne, predeceased him. A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 25, from 10 to11 AM from Zion Lutheran Church, 18 Quarry Road, Leola, PA 17540, with services at 11 AM. The Rev. Robert Ziehmer will officiate. It is asked that everyone please wear Pittsburgh or Penn State colors. Rather than flowers, contributions in his memory to Lancaster SPCA, 848 S.
