Remembering John with Love... A. John Coleman, 78, Ephrata, went to be with his Lord May 22, 2010, in Lancaster General Health following a lengthy illness. Born in Harrisburg , a son of the late Alfred J. and Sarah M. (Hugendubler) Coleman, he was the husband of Del-Rae (Steele) Coleman for 56 years. A member of OMPH Catholic Church he was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus, Father Daley Council 4191. John worked for Holsum Bakery, Lancaster ; and Capital Bakery, Harrisburg and was plant operator of the Ephrata Borough Water Works. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he was a life member, former trustee and firefighter with Lincoln Fire Company, a member of the NRA and Cocalico Sportsman Association, an avid hunter and fisherman and cherished his family. Also surviving is a daughter, Del-Rae (David S.) Rice, Akron ; sons, John W. (Cheryl Kofroth) Coleman, Ephrata; and Robert T. (Melissa Elias) Coleman, Denver; grandchildren, Christine, Laura, Allison, Rachel, Jennifer, John W. Jr., Emma, Wyatt and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Isabella and Myles; sister, Sarah M. (Paul) Kelly, Rawlinsville; and brother, David M. Coleman, Sarasota, FL. Viewing Mass... Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 27, at 11:00 AM from Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 320 Church Avenue , Ephrata , PA 17522 , with final commendation and farewell to follow in Hershey Mennonite Cemetery , Dauphin County . A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 26, from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. There will be no viewing on Thursday at the church.
