Allan R. Hassler

Allan R. Hassler, age 91, of Adamstown, Lancaster County, Pennsyvlania, died Thursday, June 4, 2015, in Mifflin Center, Shillington, Berks County. Born in Adamstown, he was a son of the late Percy and Elva (Wallace) Hassler. His wife, Fern N. (Rudy) Hassler, died September 17, 2007. He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, and served in the Army during World War II. Allan was a salesman most of his life, having worked for The Fuller Brush Company. Past President of the Adamstown VFW, he loved sports and was an avid golfer and baseball player in his younger days. Surviving is his son, Craig A., married to Linda A. (Gancar) Hassler, Mohnton; and granddaughters, Trisha and Kristen Hassler. A grandson, Kevin A. Hassler; sister, Jane Hornberger; and brothers, Ted and P. Arthur "Ike" Hassler, predeceased him. The Rev. William E. Hoch officiated at private graveside services in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown, as preplanned through Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Reamstown.
