We Remember Jerry... Alton G. "Jerry" Sweigart, 55, of 110A Mechanic Street, Reinholds, Lancaster County, died Sunday afternoon at 1:47 PM in the Lebanon Veterans Administration Medical Center, South Lebanon Township, Lebanon County, where he was a patient 4 days. His death followed a lengthy illness. Born in Reamstown, Lancaster County, he was a son of Pauline K. (Buohl) Sweigart, Denver, and the late Alton W. Sweigart. Sweigart was a navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a life member of the Reinholds VFW. He was employed as a truck driver for Kurtz's Stone Quarry, Denver, for 17 years, having worked until the time of his illness. Previously he was employed by H. R. Ewell, Inc., East Earl, PA. Jerry was an avid NASCAR fan. Surviving in addition to his mother, are 2 sons, Gerald T., married to Sonya J. (Manna) Sweigart, Fleetwood, PA; and Jesse P. Sweigart, Reinholds, PA; a daughter, Stacy L. Sweigart, address unknown; 7 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Linda L., married to Gary Youndt, Denver, PA; and Brenda J. Wike, Denver; and 3 brothers, Leslie M., married to Louise (Good) Swiegart, Mohnton, PA; Benjamin P., married to Karin (Garner) Sweigart, Denver, PA; and Gary E., married to Debra (Grosteffon) Sweigart, Roseland, VA. Private Service... Jerry's family will be holding a private graveside service from Memory Gardens Memorial Park, East Cocalico Townhip, Lancaster County, PA.
