Annabelle L. Schweitzer, age 85, formerly of Adamstown, died Saturday, December 29, 2012, in Denver Health & Rehabilitation Center, Stevens, Lancaster County, PA. Born in Adamstown, a daughter of the late Oliver H. and Anna M. (Witwer) Fritz, her husband, Edwin S. Schweitzer, died July 12, 1984. A Shillington High School graduate, she was employed by Bollman Hat Company and Fritz"s Meats, both of Adamstown. Annabelle was an avid bowler, Cub Scout den mother, loved playing cards, working jigsaw puzzles, and enjoyed traveling (especially Atlantic City casino trips). She and her late husand, Edwin, were members of Circle 8 Square Dancers. Also surviving are daughters, Melinda I. Anderson, Denver; and Melissa A. (Douglass Jr.) Coldren, Adamstown; sons, Gordon L. (Erla Balmer) Schweitzer, Stevens; Michael E. Schweitzer, engaged to Joleen Dull, Ephrata; and E. Scott (Alyce Franks) Schweitzer, Adamstown; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A grandson, Matthew Coldren, and brothers, Cleon, Eugene Sr., Oliver, Agnew and Paul Fritz, predeceased her. Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Reamstown, is honored to be assisting The Schweitzer Family with private arrangements, as Annabelle requested.
