Remembering "Mammy" with Love... Arlene Ruth Kramer, 84, of Ephrata, formerly of Klinefeltersville, died May 7, 2009, in Good Samaritan Hospital , Lebanon . Born in Schoeneck, a daughter of the late Claude and Kathryn (Weaver) Kramer, she was a member of St. Paul 's Lutheran Church , Adamstown. A waitress for nearly 40 years at the former turnpike Howard Johnsons, Denver , "Mammy" was an avid Phillies fan and known as a great cook, especially vegetable soup, chicken pot pie and raspberry crumb pie. Surviving are sisters, Betty Jane (Kenneth) Carpenter, Cornwall; Mary Lou (Harlan) Shirk, Schoeneck; Ella Kathryn Felker, Della Mae (David) Stoyer, and Claudia Faye Firestine, all Ephrata; brother, Claude Jay Kramer, Florida; niece and caregiver, Vicki Lynn (Robert) Fenstermaker, Reinholds, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Henry Percifer Kramer. Celebration of Life...A celebration of "Mammy's" life will be held Thursday, May 14, 2009, at 7:00 PM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre of Reamstown.
