Remembering Arthur with Love... Arthur Z. Wolf, 102, formerly of Akron , Denver and Sebring , FL , died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, in Landis Homes, Lititz. Born in Akron , a son of the late George B. and Mabel (Zwally) Wolf, his wife, Leona G. (Brown) Wolf, died Feb. 6, 1997. A member of Akron Church of the Brethren, Arthur had been a farmer, an insurance agent with Lititz Mutual and Harleysville Insurance Companies and worked for Hershey Foods Lincoln Milk Plant, Ephrata. Akron's last Burgess and first Mayor (1955-63), and borough permit officer, he also belonged to the Akron Lions Club, was a trustee of Wolf's Cemetery and secretary of Ephrata Township School District (1945-53). Surviving is a daughter, Patsy W. (John E.) Hess, Lititz; and sons, Jay Wolf, New Providence; George (Phyllis Garman)Wolf, Akron; Vern (Charlotte Riether)Wolf, Manheim; and Jesse (Sandra Gerhart) Wolf, Lititz; 22 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Shelly, Ephrata; and brother, Paul Wolf, Colorado. He was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Miller; son, Orie Wolf; sisters, Miriam Kachel and Kathryn Shelly; and brothers, Galen and J. Howard Wolf. Service Information... Funeral services will be held from the East Chapel of Landis Homes, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz , PA 17543 , on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at 2:00 pm with Pastors Thomas Weber and Donald Good officiating. A viewing will be held from Noon to 2 pm. Private graveside services will be held by the family in Wolf Cemetery , Akron , PA. It was Arthur's request that flowers be omitted; contributions to Hospice of Lancaster County, Box 4125 , Lancaster , PA 17604-4125 .
