Remembering Bernice with Love... Bernice H. Weaver, 80, of 120 Country Drive , Denver , Brecknock Township , Lancaster County , died Tuesday, January 4, 2005, in Ephrata Community Hospital , where she was a patient since December 28th. Born in Hinkletown, Lancaster County , she was a daughter of the late Emery B. and Anna (Hibshman) Shenk. Her husband, Lester O. Weaver, a well-known area auctioneer, died December 14, 1987. She was a member and former Sunday School Teacher of St. John's Center Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Earl, Lancaster County , and was the Emblem bearer of Ruth with Samuel Fear Chapter #417 Order of Eastern Star, Honeybrook, Chester County . Mrs. Weaver had assisted her late husband for many years at public sales and was employed by Bollman Hat Company, Adamstown. She enjoyed word search puzzles and crocheting. Surviving are 2 daughters, Audrey E. (Weaver), wife of Dr. Thomas L. Andersen, Stevens, PA; and Tina E. (Weaver), wife of Donald E. Lefever, with whom she resided; a son, Joseph L., husband of Brenda Lee (Bryan) Weaver, Terre Hill, PA; 13 grandchildren; 10 Great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Ruth (Shenk) Sheaffer, Newport, PA; Gladys (Shenk) Frey, Lititz, PA; Shirley (Shenk) Pfautz, and Orvilla (Shenk) Oberholtzer, both of Ephrata, PA; and Darla (Shenk) Wanner, Akron, PA; and a brother, William Shenk, Lititz, PA. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rowena J. Good, a grandson, Donovan E. Lefever, a sister, Ethel Getz, and 3 brothers, Clarence, Marvin and Emery Jr. Viewing Service A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2005, from noon to 2:00 PM from our parlors with Eastern Star services beginning at 1:45 PM and the service celebrating her life at 2:00 PM. Her pastor, Rev. Donald Lindman, will officiate.Burial will follow in Center Union Cemetery, East Earl, Lancaster County, PA. Flowers will be received and you may remember Bernice with contributions to Hospice of Lancaster County, Post Office Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
