Betty J. Becker

Betty Jane Becker, 74, of Reinholds, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Wyomissing Health & Rehab Center. Born in Reading, Betty was a daughter of the late Earl and Sadie (Grumbling) Remp and the wife of 20-years to Edwin N. Becker until his passing in 1996.

Betty was originally from the Mohnton area, and she attended school in the Governor Mifflin School District. She worked for Cinderella Knitting Mills as a sewing machine operator and for Bollman Hat Co. in Adamstown for 14 years. She loved her old TV shows like Lawerence Welk and Hee Haw. Betty was a country music fan and particularly enjoyed Charlie Pride. Betty enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, knitting, being at home, and family.

Betty is survived by a daughter Lisa J. Geletka (Jeffrey) of Reinholds; a son, Sherwood T. Drexel Jr.; a granddaughter, Tamantha Drexel; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Helen, Linda, Shirley & Mary Ann.

Services are private and her final resting place is Fairview Cemetery in Denver, Pa.
