Betty Jean Whisler

Betty Jean Whisler, age 72, of East Cocalico Township, Stevens, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, November 29, 2014, at 10:35 PM in Ephrata Community Hospital. Born at the Indiantown Gap Gospel Center, Lebanon County, a daughter of the late Clarence M. "Bud" and Verna (Sheaffner) Shuey, she was married to Dale L. "Pappy" Whisler for 54 years. She attended Hershey High School and was a member of Harvest Fellowship Church. An Avon Distributor at Green Dragon for 15 years, she enjoyed making toys and loved her pets. Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Daryl L., married to Ursula Whisler, Akron, PA; a daughter, Brenda Cummings, Clearwater, FL; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and her poodle, "Snuggles". A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014, from 5 to 7 PM with the service at 7 PM from Harvest Fellowship Church, 34 West Church Street, Stevens, PA 17578, Pastor Eugene N. Weaver officiating. Private inurnment will be in Ono Cemetery, Lebanon County.
