Betty Lou Hull

Betty Lou (Smith) Hull, 88, of Lititz, passed away on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 at the UPMC Lititz Hospital. Born in New Holland, Betty Lou was a daughter of the late Jacob and Margie (Schoenberger) Smith, and the loving wife to her late husband, Guy Urban Hull.

Betty Lou was born and raised in New Holland. She and Guy moved to Akron and lived there for 65 years until his passing in 2020. Betty Lou then moved to Luther Acres Retirement Community in Lititz. She was a stay-at-home mom who later worked at Neffsville Flower Shoppe and Royers Flower Shop.

Betty Lou is survived by three sons, Jeffrey Hull, Steven Hull, & Bradley Hull; two daughters-in-law, Susan and Lori; five grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Grace, Joshua & Devin; and two great grandchildren Leo & Onalea. Betty Lou’s two siblings, J. Leroy Smith and Anabel Montgomery, predeceased her.

Betty Lou’s love for Jesus shined through to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Betty Lou to “Luther Acres Benevolent Fund” at 600 East Main Street, Lititz, PA 17543.

Betty Lou’s final resting place is Mt. Zion Cemetery in Akron.
