Betty A. Pfautz, 85, formerly of Reinholds, resident of Gardens at Stevens, passed away Thurs., July 30, 2020. Born in Reinholds, her parents were the late Earl J. & Lillian (Sweigart) Pierce and Betty was the loving wife of 67 years to Clyde R. Pfautz, Jr. She grew up in Reinholds, the daughter of a shoe cobbler, of Pierce Shoe Store. She was a graduate of East Cocalico High School, class of 1952. She had worked at the former Keystone Nightwear company in Reinholds and loved raising and caring for her family. There was always a wonderful aroma of fresh baked treats or a home-cooked meal coming from her kitchen. She enjoyed tending to her multiple houseplants and vast collection of teddy bears. Betty was a faithful member of St. John's Center UCC, East Earl, for over 20 years, prior she was a member at Swamp UCC, Reinholds. Her fun-loving nickname, 'Cracker', given by her grandchildren, truly depicts her playful and high-spirited manner. Her caring touch and generosity will forever be missed. In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her daughter, Kathy Behrendt (Clifford L. Jr.) of Denver; her son, Ron Pfautz (partner, Tracy Weidenhammer) of Reinholds; two grandchildren, Jennifer Zeni (Adam), Kimberly Franck (James); four great grandchildren, Evan Zeni, Addison Zeni, Charlotte Fanck, Camden Franck; & brother, William J. Pierce of MI. She was predeceased by infant daughter, Karen Louise & brother Earl Pierce, Jr. A visitation will be held Fri., Aug. 7th from 7p.m. to 9p.m. at Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., 34-38 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown, Pa 17567. Funeral Service Sat., Aug 8th at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home, followed by interment in Swamp Church Cemetery.
