C. J. "Pap" Kurtz

Remembering "Pap" with Love... C. J. Kurtz, 90, formerly of Maple Street , Ephrata, died Saturday, February 24, 2007, at 9:45 PM in Ephrata Manor. Born June 6, 1916, in Gap, he was a son of the late J. Harry and Alta C. (Houck) Kurtz, and was the husband of Mary Jane (Haldeman) Kurtz, Ephrata Manor, for 62 years. A member of Bethany United Church of Christ, Ephrata, he was employed for many years by the former Dutchmaid, Inc. CJ was an Army Medic during World War II. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 sons, James L., husband of Fran Kurtz, Akron , PA ; and Thomas J. Kurtz, husband of Nancy Clupper, Lancaster , PA ; and 2 granddaughters, Mischelle "Missy" Testerman and Heather Kurtz. Private Viewing Funeral Service... At CJ's request, private services will be held from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre of Reamstown, with burial in Bergstrasse Cemetery , Ephrata Township .
