Carl M. White

Carl. M. White, 80, of Ephrata, PA, died on Thurs. April 25, 2019 at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy L. (Weber) White; three daughters: Debra Newswanger, wife of Shawn Clapper of Ephrata, PA, Darbi Knee, wife of George Knee of Vinemont, PA, and Paula Laughlin, wife of Joe Laughlin of Hamburg, PA; four sons: Ronald Newswanger, husband of Lindy, of Brickerville, PA, Ricky Newswanger of Ephrata, PA, Roger Newswanger, companion of Bruce Carswell of Georgia, and Scott Newswanger, husband of Tammy, of Millersville, PA; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ammon White, husband of Ruth, of Lancaster, PA; and one sister, Phyllis, wife of Leroy Miller of Schoeneck, PA Carl was born in Farmersville, PA, son of the late Ammon and Martha (Musser) White. He served in the United States Marine Corps and worked as an auto mechanic and truck driver. Carl was a member of Berean Bible Church in Ephrata. He loved camping, tinkering with motors and cars, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, PA 17522. A second viewing will be held from 1-2 pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Berean Bible Church, 675 Lincoln Gardens Rd. Ephrata, PA followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Wolf's Cemetery, Ephrata, PA. 0
