Remembering "Bucky" with Love... Carl R. "Bucky" Buckwalter, age 68, of Stevens, Lancaster Count;y, PA, died Thursday, December 29, 2011, in Hospice of Lancaster County - Mt. Joy . Born in Narvon, Lancaster County, a son of the late Ralph M. and Catherine C. ( Shelby ) Buckwalter, he worked as a truck driver for the former Woolworth Distribution Center , Denver , and as a self-employed carpenter. A member of New Holland Mennonite Church , he also belonged to Adamstown Rod Gun Club, and Fritztown and Gouglersville Fire Companies. Bucky enjoyed trap shooting and was an avid golfer. Surviving are daughters, Bonnie Good, Honeybrook; Cindy Shaffer, Birdsboro; and Pam McDermott, Denver; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Fegely, Pearl Schultz, Ruth Ann Bensing, and Evelyn Fischer; brothers, Paul, Raymond, David and Leon Buckwalter; his significant other, Pat Rice, with whom he resided; and her family; children, Dwayne Shober, Vicki Moyer, Kathy Ann Keith, all of Denver; Donna Hirneisen, Adamstown; and Diane Rissler, New Holland; and her 8 grandchildren. Bucky was predeceased by sisters, Grace Baxter and Irma Sager; and brother, Lloyd Buckwalter. Service Information... There will be a viewing on Monday evening, January 2, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Reamstown, PA.
