Charles 'Chuck' Effinger Jr.

Charles W. "Chuck" Effinger, Jr., 88, of Luther Acres, formerly of Denver, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles W. Sr. & Margaret (Kleszak) Effinger and the loving husband to Dorothy R. "Dot" (Getz) Effinger until her passing in 2010. Chuck was a graduate of Central High School in Phila, class of 1952 and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He attended the Spring Garden Institute in Philadelphia where he studied drafting and mechanical design. He was a faithful member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Adamstown where he was a former church council member and serviced on the property committee. Chuck enjoyed gardening and traveling with is wife, whom he's dearly missed since her passing. Chuck is survived by two children, Charles W. Effinger, III, husband of Deb, of Clifton Park, NY and Margaret "Peggy" Seiler, wife of Clark, of Reinholds; two grandchildren, Lauren M. and Charles IV; and a sister, Dorothy Ann Effinger of Ephrata. In addition to his wife and parents, Chuck was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy R. "Duffy" Effinger. Services are private. Chuck's final resting place is Muddy Creek Cemetery, Denver.
