Charles N. Potts

Charles N. 'Charlie' Potts, age 81, of Alleghenyville, Brecknock Township, Mohnton, Berks County, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at 10:13 AM in Country Meadows of Reading. Born in Brecknock Township, Berks County, a son of the late Charles S. and Mary F. (Kline) Potts, he was married 57 years to Grace P. (Wolfe) Potts. Charlie was a 1955 Governor Mifflin High School graduate and a member of Harmony United Methodist Church, Morgantown. He was in the 148th Fighter Squadron of the Air National Guard and worked for Branch Motor Express, Reading; Graco Industries and Sunline Coach. Devoted to mission work with church and youth groups, he also enjoyed Reading Fairgrounds races, polka country western music, antiques, car shows and animals. Also surviving: son, Mark C. Potts; grandson, Jonathan M. Potts, both Reading; brother, Curtis Potts, Mohnton. A brother, Donovan, predeceased him. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, at 4 PM from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with viewing from 3 to 4 PM. Rev. Richard J. Rimert, Jr. and Rev. Lyle Neal will officiate. Burial will be on Monday, July 10; please meet at the entrance to Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606 at 10 AM to process to the gravesite.
