Remembering Chester with Love... Chester H. Wenrich, 73, of 235 Vera Cruz Road , Reinholds, East Cocalico Township , Lancaster County , died Thursday evening at 11:07 PM in Ephrata Community Hospital . Born in Schoeneck, Lancaster County , he was a son of the late Raymond and Lizzie (Hollenbach) Wenrich, and was the husband of Charmaine G. (Royer) Wenrich for 54 years on September 30, 2004. He was a member of Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church , Swartzville. A self-employed carpenter and masonry contractor for 20 years, he retired in 1993. Previously he had worked for Rockwell International, Wyomissing, and Boose Aluminum Foundry, Reamstown. An army veteran of the Korean War he was part of the "Eager Beavers" who constructed the first Windmill in Korea for pumping water. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carol A. Firestone, Ephrata; grandchildren, Shane Michael Firestone and Heidi Sue Theis, and great-granddaughter, Madison Sage Theis; 2 sisters, Vera Zeller, Hamilton, OH; and Marguerite Sweigart, Adamsotwn, PA; and a brother, Franklin (Ida Davidson) Wenrich, Reamstown. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy H. Wenrich, in 1990 Viewing Service A viewing will be held on Monday evening, January 24, 2005, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM from our parlors. Services will be held on Tuesday morning, January 25, 2005, at 10:00 AM from Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church , 11 South Muddy Creek Road, Denver, PA, with Rev. Joyce A. Seip officiating. Burial in Muddy Creek Cemetery , Swartzville, with military honors by Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard of Lancaster.
