Clifford R. Gangaway, 67, of Ephrata, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at home in the loving presence of his family and dear friends. Born in Ephrata, Cliff was a son of the late William & Fern (Thompson) Gangaway. He was the devoted husband to Ava M. (Franks) Gangaway and together they would celebrate 39 years of marriage next month. Clifford grew up in the Denver area, residing in Lancaster County all his life, a graduate of Garden Spot High School, class of 1973. Cliff was a drywaller for Zook Interiors of Ephrata and for Martin's in Bowmansville. He also worked as a mechanic for Bob's American, as a driver for Garden Spot Auto Auction, and he directed traffic for Maple Grove Raceway. Cliff was a huge NASCAR fan and followed his favorite driver, number 88, Dale Earnhardt Jr. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed local fishing, hunting, and camping at their family retreat in New York. Cliff was well-liked and easy-going. He held memberships at the Adamstown VFW, Cocalico Sportsman Club, Reamstown Athletic Assoc., and Victor Emanuel's. He would do anything to help others, he loved his family, and was a wonderful 'PawPaw' to his grandkids. In addition to his wife, Cliff is survived by three children, Jody Lynn Tracey of Ephrata, Michelle Burkhart of Myerstown, and John Tracey Jr. (Beth) of Lebanon; 11 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a sister, Sandy Fantaski of Ephrata; and a brother, Randy Gangaway of Wyomissing. A graveside service will be held on Wed., April 19th at 11:00 a.m. in Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Rd., Sinking Spring, PA 19608.
