Remembering Clyde with love... Clyde S. Kulp, 68, of 20 Ream Road, Stevens, Lancaster County, died Tuesday morning at 11:40 AM in Ephrata Community Hospital where he was a patient 2 days. Born in Ephrata, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Walter H. and Sara (Sipling) Kulp, and was the husband of Bette A. (Marsh) Armbrust Kulp. His first wife, V. Dawn (Frankhouser) Kulp died May 10, 1992. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Congregational Church, Reamstown, where he was a past president of the church board, a Sunday school teacher and steward of the church. Retiring in 1996, he was employed for 42 years as an equipment logistics manager by Case New Holland. 1954 graduate of Ephrata High School, he was a 40 year member, twice past president of the East Cocalico Lions Club of Reamstown, where he received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award, the Distinguished Service Award, and the Lion of the Year Award in 1992. He also received the Pennsylvania Fellow Award of Lions International. Clyde was a former tax collector, auditor, zoning hearing board member and current Secretary-Treasurer of the East Cocalico Township Board of Supervisors. He was also an avid golfer. Surviving in addtion to his wife, is a son, Douglas S., married to Nancy A. (Youndt) Kulp, Stevens, PA; 2 step-daughters, Carole A., married to Gene Siegrist, Myerstown, PA; and Dana L., married to LeRoy Riehl, New Holland, PA; a step-son, John A., married to Susanne (Hatch) Armbrust, New Holland, PA; 6 step-grandchildren; and a brother, Walter S., married to Dolores Kulp, Akron, PA. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harold and Andrew Kulp. Memorial Service It was Clyde's wishes that there be no public viewing. The family will have a private viewing and burial (Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville, PA) prior to the memorial celebration. The Celebration of Clyde's Life will be held on Saturday afternoon, June 12, 2004, at 3:00 PM from his church, St. Paul's Evangelical Congregational Church, 46 East Church Street, Reamstown, PA 17567-0275.Clyde had requested that rather than flowers, please remember him with contributions to his church at the above address.
