Daniel W. Nauman, 89, of Denver, formerly of Havertown, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, Dan was a son of the late Franklin S. and Bessie Langham and the devoted husband of Gail L. (Lewis) Nauman.

Dan was an alumnus of Haverford High School's class of 1953 and Haverford College's class of 1957, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Dan was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having entered in September 1957. After three years active duty, he continued to honor his commitment through service in the reserves where he trained men destined for Vietnam. His military service extended until 1977, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

His professional life was marked by his role as an insurance broker at Lewis Brothers Insurance Agency Inc. in Havertown, PA. Dan sold his book of business, retiring in 1995. In 2002, he and his wife, Gail, moved to Denver. They enjoyed traveling and exploring bed and breakfasts while visiting historic sites. His creative spirit shone through his woodworking, particularly in crafting things for his children and grandchildren. Dan loved sports, whether playing or cheering on a team, whether local or pro sports.

A dedicated member of First Church UMC, Dan's faith and community were central to his life. Dan's legacy of love of God and family, service, and creativity will be remembered by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Dan is survived by three daughters, Catharine G. Buckwalter (Joel) of Cherry Hill, NJ, Beth Nauman of King of Prussia, Pa, Grace Ranck (Ryan) of Reinholds, Pa; five grandchildren, Lauren Buckwalter, Danny Buckwalter, Hailey Ranck, Stephen Ranck, & Caitlin Ranck.
