David F. Michniewicz, Chief Yeoman, U.S. Navy (Retired), 75, of Denver, PA, passed away at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital on Sunday, November 24, 2019. He was the loving husband of Carolyn (Kelly) Michniewicz and son of the late Francis and Mary (Jeleniecka) Michniewicz. Carol and David celebrated 50 years of marriage on October 25, 2019. In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by two daughters: Christine, wife of Gerald Cole and Kathleen, wife of Frank Louis, all of Royersford, PA, one son, David M. Michniewicz of King of Prussia, PA, eight grandchildren: Dylan, Chase, Riley, Benjamin, Jason, Timothy, Mia, and DJ, a sister, Donna Tischer of Santa Rosa, CA, a brother, Richard Michniewicz, husband of Marie, of Vero Beach, FL, and nine nieces and nephews. David retired as a Chief Yeoman from the U.S. Navy after 33 years of service. He most recently worked as an administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency. David was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church in Ephrata, PA and was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Painting, stamp collecting, photography, and fishing were hobbies of David's throughout the years. He also loved watching Sci-Fi television shows and war movies. David was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved throwing theme parties for his grandchildren and telling corny Dziadzio jokes. A viewing will be held at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St. Ephrata, PA 17522 on Friday, November 29 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, 320 Church Ave. Ephrata, PA 17522 on Friday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m. Final Commendation and Farewell will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA. David will be laid to rest with Full Military Honors. Services are under the care of Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, Ephrata, PA.
