Dolores Kupp

December 20, 1937 — May 16, 2024

Kay Dolores Kupp, 86, formerly of Denver, resident of Luther Acres, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the WellSpan Ephrata Hospital. Born in West Reading, Dolores was a daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth (Hollinger) Eagle and the loving wife to Curtis D. Kupp for 69 years.

Dolores was a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, class of 1956 where she was a majorette. She enjoyed yard sales, finding forgotten treasures and chatting with friends along the way. She liked listening to country music, going out to eat, word search puzzles. Dolores always had a smile to share and brightened the room with her presence. In their younger years, Dolores and Curtis enjoyed roller skating and the memories of the rink will forever be treasured. Dolores held various employment roles always bringing value and a strong work ethic to her job. She started as a factory worker and delivery driver at Hemmerich Industries in Denver and later she worked at Royer's Flowers in Ephrata and Weis market. Trips to Rehoboth Beach with her sisters were a favorite time for her and she loved camping trips with the family. Together, they had a permanent site at Sills Campground, the cornerstone of countless memories. She was a former member of Swamp Lutheran Church and upon moving to Luther Acres, she attended church onsite. Her faith was always a big part of her life. Most of all, Dolores loved her family deeply, loved caring for them and spending time with them.

In addition to her husband, Dolores is survived by two children, Linda Kay Frankfort of Denver, and Gerald Lee Kupp (Suzanne Henninger) of Douglasville; three grandchildren, Kevin (Colleen), Eric (Erika), Brian (Katelyn); and seven great grandchildren, Gavin, Breylan, Colton, Callie, Addie, Carson, and Tatum. Dolores was predeceased by three sisters, Sara Ann Griffith, Helen Nagle, and Betty Lou Krick.
