Douglas L. Zerbe

Remembering Doug with Love... Douglas L. Zerbe, age 69, of Stevens, Lancaster County, PA, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in Hospice of Lancaster County - Mt. Joy Center. Born in West Reading, Berks County , PA, he was a son of the late Phenous C. and Dorothy E. (Lorah) Zerbe, and the husband of Deborah S. (Buckwalter) Zerbe. They would have celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on Friday, April 6th. A 1961 Cocalico High School graduate, he was a parts manager and deliveryman for various auto dealerships. Doug was a member of St. Paul 's Evangelical Congregational Church, Reamstown, PA. He cherished his family, was an avid Steelers fan and will be remembered for his unique sense of humor. Also surviving are sons, David C. (Carolyn) Zerbe, Ephrata; and Douglas L. (Rachael) Zerbe, II, Denver ; and grandchildren, Elijah, Landon, Lorelei and Evan. Service Information... Doug's Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 7, at 10:00 AM from St. Paul 's Evangelical Congregational Church, 46 East Church Street , Reamstown , PA 17567-0275 , with his pastor, The Rev. Kirk R. Marks, officiating. At Doug's request, there will be no viewing; private interment in Mellinger's Cemetery, Schoeneck. Kindly omit flowers; contributions may be sent to his church.
