Remembering Earl ... Earl G. Brendle, 77, of 55 East Franklin Street, Ephrata, Lancaster County, died Thursday at 12:05 AM in Conestoga View, Lancaster, where he resided one week. Born in Fivepointville, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Harry T. and Lillie (Good) Brendle. Retiring in 1991, he was employed for 35 years as a fire brick layer with the former Birdsboro Steel, Birdsboro, Berks County, PA. Earl was a Navy veteran of World War II having served in the Pacific Theatre. An avid fisherman and hunter, Brendle was a member of the Adamstown Rod Gun Club and a former member of the Buck Run Hunting Club, Potter County. Surviving are 2 sisters, Mary M. Flory, Ephrata, PA, and Grace E. Seifrit, Fivepointville, PA; 3 brothers, Lester G. Brendle, Eugene W. Brendle, and Clair L., husband of Alverta (Carvell) Brendle, all of Denver, PA; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Estella Brendle, and 4 brothers, Harry, Jeremiah, Howard John. Visitation Services... A viewing will be held from our parlors on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral ceremony will be held from our funeral home on Monday, August 11, 2003, at 10:00 AM with The Reverend Sandra L. Gideon officiating. Burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville, Lancaster County, PA.
