Edith M. Newman, age 70, of Brecknock Township, Denver, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died at home Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 1:55 PM. Born in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Howard G. and Lyda Mae (Thompson) Beck, her husband, Robert L. 'Bobby' Newman, died August 17, 2007. A supervisor/coordinator for United Sleep Products, Denver, she enjoy dancing, playing shuffle board, casino trips and was the life of the party. Edith loved sports, and was an Eagles football NASCAR/Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan. She belonged to Adamstown Rod Gun Club, Reamstown Athletic Association, Gouglersville Fire Company Reinholds VFW. Surviving are her children, Lisa, married to David Troutman, Leola; Robin, married to Dan Fredrickson, Hopeland; Robert L. Beck, Jr., Denver; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane Beck, Denver; and brothers, William H., married to Dorothy Beck, Denver; and Harry R. married to Deb Beck, Mohnton. Siblings, Fern M. Gangaway, Lyda Mae Moyer and Howard L. Beck, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017, at 11 AM from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with Chaplain Nilda Roman officiating. Burial in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Ephrata.
