Remembering Edna with love.. Edna M. Kachel, 89, of 555 Sell Road , Mohnton, Berks County ( Brecknock Township ), died Saturday, August 28, at 12:05 PM in Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center , Narvon, Lancaster County , where she resided since July 22, 2004. Born in Brecknock Township , Berks County , she was a daughter of the late Isaac L. and Cora E. (Seifrit) Westley. Her husband, Morris E. "Mike" Kachel, died December 20, 1999. She was a life member of Robeson Evangelical Lutheran Church , Mohnton (Plowville), where she was a former Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher, choir member and member of the Ladies Aide quilting group. A housewife, she was a life member of the Brecknock Fir Company Ladies Auxiliary, Alleghenyville, Berks County , and was a member of the Robeson Robins Senior Citizens. Surviving are 2 daughters, Evelyn G. (Kachel), married to Gerald M. Hoffert, Mohnton , PA ; and Marian A. Kachel, Mohnton, PA; a granddaughter; and 3 sisters, Katie E. (Westley), married to Oliver C. "Jake" Kochel, Sinking Spring, PA; Beatrice (Westley) Kochel, Morgantown, PA; and Ada M. (Westley) Peters, Mohnton, PA. Viewing Service A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2004, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM from Robeson Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3520 Plow Road, Mohnton, PA 19540. The service celebrating Edna's life will begin at 11:00 AM and burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.It was Edna's request that you not send flowers.
