Remembering Ellen with Love... Ellen J. Sweigart, 69, of 259 North Reamstown Road, Denver, Lancaster County , died Saturday morning at 6:46 AM in Union Hospital, Elkton, Maryland, where she was taken after being stricken with a heart attack on her way to visit relatives in Delaware. Her death followed a lengthy illness. Born in Schaefferstown , Lebanon County, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Lydia (Palm) Strickler, and was the wife of Clayton L. Sweigart, for 49 years on February 11th, 2004. She was a member of Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, Swartzville. Ellen was employed years ago by Bollman Hat Company, Adamstown, and previously by the former Hemmerich Industries, Denver. Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 daughters, Brenda L. Morehouse, Newville, PA; and Linda F., married to Kevin R. Fry, Stevens, PA; 4 grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Walter, married to Ruthann Strickler, Lewes, DE (who they were going to visit), and Paul Strickler, Pine Grove, PA. She was preceded in death by a sister, Eva Wenrich, and 2 brothers, Henry Harold Strickler. Viewing Service A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2004, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM from our parlors. The ceremony celebrating Ellen's life will begin at 11:00 AM with her pastor, The Reverend Joyce A. Seip, and The Reverence Surj Paul, officiating.Burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, PA.
