Remembering Elva with Love... Elva Beamesderfer, 87, Denver , died Monday, June 7, 2010, in Ephrata Community Hospital . Born in Smokestown, a daughter of the late William and Sallie (Coldren) Sweigart, her husband, Warren H. "Blicky" Beamesderfer, died February 28, 2005. A life member of Muddy Creek Lutheran Church, she was an active, longtime member of the Cocalico Area Christian Women's Fellowship and a 1937 graduate of East Cocalico Vocational High School. Elva worked at Akron Shoe Company, Cinderella Knitting Mill and was an Avon Lady for many years. An avid pinochle player, she will be dearly remembered for her creative baking skills. Surviving are daughters, Sally A. (Melvin W.) Williams, Lancaster ; Tracy L. Miller, Denver ; sons, W. James (Elisabeth Jones) Beamesderfer, Hartly, DE; Thomas L. (Sue Himmelberger) Beamesderfer, Denver; Craig A. (Ann Hartman) Beamesderfer, Akron; Donald E. Beamesderfer, Mohnton; Gary S. (Denise Reinhold) Beamesderfer, Ephrata; and Michael T. (Sheri Leid) Beamesderfer, Denver; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by grandchildren, Melissa F. Beamesderfer and Scott P. Miller; a sister and 4 brothers. Viewings Funeral Service... Funeral services will be Friday, June 11, 2010, at 11:00 AM from Muddy Creek Lutheran Church , 11 S. Muddy Creek Church Rd. , Denver , PA 17517 , with her pastor, The Rev. Paul W. Smeltz, officiating. Burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery , Swartzville. A viewing will be held at the church Friday from 10-11 AM.
