Erma Marcella Soroko

Erma Marcella Soroko, 92, passed away at Haven at Springwood, York, PA, on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Erma, the daughter of J Clarence Knotwell and Martha H. (Petters) Knotwell, was born in Pequea, PA, on April 28, 1926. She was the loving wife of William Joseph Soroko, who passed away in 2011. Erma worked as a secretary at Hamilton Watch Company, where she met William Soroko, the man who she ultimately married in 1948. She spent much of her life as a homemaker, caring for her children and household. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church of Akron, PA. Surviving Erma are, two daughters: Debra, wife of Thomas Turner of Mertztown, PA and Diane, wife of Dr. Michael Moritz of York, PA; a son, David, husband of Kim (Kozlowski) Soroko of Denver, PA; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Friends may gather at Paul L. Gravenor Home for Funerals, 100 W. Main Street, Ephrata, PA, on Friday, September 7, 2018, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM for a time of visitation. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM, Rev. Leslie Cool, officiating. Interment at Mt. Zion Evangelical Cemetery, Akron, PA, will follow the service.
