Ethyl M. Youndt

Ethyl M. Youndt, age 90, of Adamstown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, August 2, 2014, in Fairmount Homes, Farmersville, PA. Born in Reading, Berks County, PA, a daughter of the late Curtis A. and Mary E. (Werley) Zillhardt, her husband, Kenneth M. Youndt, died October 31, 1976. Ethyl worked for Adamstown Hat Company and Bollman Hat Company, Adamstown. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, where she sang in the choir. A caregiver to many over the years, she was a loving and devoted grandmother and volunteered with Meals On Wheels. Ethyl loved sports and was a fan of the Flyers, Eagles & Phillies. Surviving is her daughter, Sheryl A., married to William Hossler, Denver; twin sons, Kenneth C., married to Helen (Fabian) Youndt, Denver; and Kerry L., married to Roxanne (Warren) Youndt, Stevens; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a brother, Dr. Curtis Zillhardt, Paradise. Sisters, Mary Jane Hagge and Betty Hoffman, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014, at 10:00 AM in Peace United Church of Christ, 34 East Swartzville Road, Denver, PA 17517, with her pastor, The Rev. William E. Hoch, officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown. There will be no viewing. Rather than flowers, contributions may be sent to her church.
