Eugene L. Sensenig, age 91, formerly of East Cocalico Township, Stevens, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, May 24, 2015, at 8:45 AM in Fairmount Homes, Farmersville, PA. Born in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, a son of the late Anna M. Brossman and Jacob S. Sensenig, he was married 64 years to Ella A. (Muckel) Sensenig, also a resident of Fairmount Homes. On various committees and council, he was an active member of Muddy Creek Lutheran Church, a Boy Scouts of America committeeman and a 1941 graduate of East Cocalico High School. A World War II Army veteran, Gene served in the Southwestern Pacific Theatre, and worked for Hamilton Watch, Lancaster. He enjoyed walking and traveling. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Thomas E., husband of Donna L. (Weinhold) Sensenig, Reamstown; & David C. Sensenig, Akron; grandson, Daniel S., husband of Margaret A. (Ryan) Sensenig, St. Marys; & great-grandchildren, Jackson & Molly. Siblings, Betty K. Sweigart, & Roger D. Sweigart, predeceased him. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29, at 11 AM in Muddy Creek Lutheran Church, 11 S. Muddy Creek Rd., Denver, PA 17517, with viewing from 10-11 AM. Burial with military honors will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville.
