Remembering Fannie... Fannie R. Sandoe, 81, of 1167 Landis Road, Ephrata, (East Cocalico Township), Lancaster County, died Friday morning at 6:50 AM in The Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center, Inc., Narvon, Lancaster County, where she resided since June 3, 2004. Born in West Cocalico Township , Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late John C. and Ellen (Rock) Leed. Her husband, Lester B. Sandoe, died July 1, 1995. She was a member of Swamp United Church of Christ, Reinholds, Lancaster County. Fannie was employed as a sewing machine operator for 10 years at the former Walter W. Moyer, Inc., Ephrata, and had also worked at Beauty Blouse, Ephrata, and New Holland Lingerie. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and watching television. Surviving are 3 sisters, Anna (Leed) Hepner, Sale Creek, Tennessee; Ida (Leed) Hanna, Ephrata, with whom she last resided; and Barbara (Leed), married to Gerald P. Werner, Reinholds, PA; and 3 brothers, Madison R. Leed, Barton R. Leed, and Samuel R., married to Joan (Balthaser) Leed, all of Reinholds, PA. A son, Ronald Sandoe, and a sister, Grace Mountz, preceded her in death. Graveside Service A graveside inurnment service will be held to honor Fannie's life on Tuesday afternoon, August 17, 2004, at 4:00 PM, from Swamp Cemetery, Reinholds, Lancaster County, with Chaplain Wesley Mast officiating.
