Gangaway, 73, of 66 North Robert Road , Ephrata, Lancaster County , formerly of Denver , died Monday, December 27, 2004, at 7:15 PM in Hershey Medical Center , Dauphin County , where she was a patient for the past week. Born in Altoona , Blair County , she was a daughter of the late Howard G. and Lyda Mae (Thompson) Beck. Her husband, William Gangaway, died February 28, 1989. She was a member of Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church , Swartzville, and attended the Cocalico Area Senior Center , Reinholds, and the Elderberries of Peace UCC, Swartzville. Fern was employed for 45 years at Quinlan Pretzel Company, Denver , PA. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra J. (Gangaway), wife of James W. Fantaski, Ephrata; 2 sons, Clifford R., husband of Ava (Franks) Gangaway, Ephrata, with whom she resided; and Randy L., husband of Debbie (Hornick) Gangaway, Denver, PA; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Lyda Mae (Beck) Moyer, Mary Jane (Beck) Beck, and Edith M. (Beck) Newman, all of Denver, PA; and 2 brothers, William H. Beck, Denver, PA, and Harry R. Beck, Wyomissing, PA. Viewing Service A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, December 30, 2004, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM from our parlors. The services celebrating Fern's life will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday morning, December 31, 2004, with her pastor, The Reverend Joyce A. Seip, officiating.Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township, Berks County, PA.
