Fern N. Hassler

Remembering Fern with Love... Fern N. Hassler, 82, of 233 Jefferson Road , Adamstown, died Monday, September 17, 2007, at 2:27 PM in Reading Hospital Medical Center , West Reading , where she was a patient since Friday. Born in Mohnton, a daughter of the late Edward and Mayme (Kleinginna) Rudy, she was the wife of Allan R. Hassler for 61 years. A member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, she was a member of the Adamstown VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was an avid reader. Fern was employed during her lifetime at Leininger Knitting Mill, Mohnton; Narrow Fabrics, Wyomissing; Dutchmaid Inc., Ephrata; and retired from Hope Hosiery, Adamstown. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Craig A., husband of Linda A. (Gancer) Hassler, Mohnton; and 2 granddaughters, Trisha and Kristen. Visitation Memorial Service... A memorial celebration of life will be held Friday at 10:00 AM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre of Reamstown with her pastor, The Rev. William E. Hoch, officiating. Inurnment in Cedar Grove Cemetery , Adamstown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Friday.
