Francesca M. "Fran" Hamilton

Remembering Fran with Love... Francesca M. "Fran" Hamilton, 90, formerly of Ephrata, died Thursday, August 3, 2006, in Lexington, SC, where she resided since 2000. Born April 25, 1916, in Manhattan , NY , she was a daughter of the late Filippo and Ann (Leone) Marchello. Her husband, Glenn P. Hamilton, died January 29, 1985. A member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Ephrata, she served their Women's Sodality and the Ephrata Fair Stand. She was active in Beginning Experience grief organization. Fran was a 25 year antique dealer at the Green Dragon Farmer's Market, Ephrata, and from her home. She also had owned and operated Hamilton 's Ceramics, Ephrata. Years ago she was a stenographer with the NY Stock Exchange and a general clerical assistant with the federal courts in Washington , DC . Other interests were the Ephrata Recreation Center 's Golden Years Club where she enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and pinochle. Surviving is a daughter, Peggy H. Langdon, Leesville , SC ; 2 sons, Glenn Phillip, husband of Marianne (Desarmeau) Hamilton , St. Clair Shores , MI ; and Ronald Kenneth Hamilton, Lititz , PA ; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Franne R. Shaffer, predeceased her in 1988. Viewing Mass...
